Ca Plein Pour Moi

An open invitation to put Barnaby out of his misery: Does anyone know which film soundtracks Plastic Bertrand's hit Ca Plein Pour Moi has been used on? He's sure he's heard it, but isn't sure where. We've found a few, but he hasn't seen them, and I think it's frustrating him a little....

  1. I wish I could help, but i don’t even know the song … any chance of an mp3?

  2. i know the song and i can even hear it (no singing though) if it is in a film i would think it is based in the 80′s (or shot in the 80′s)
    ;-)

not that helps (although for some reason i can visualise a chase seen done to the music)

  3. The answer is Clerk’s shoes. The funky jumping kid one.

  4. Tragically, that’s not the answer we’re looking for – it was its use in the Clarks ad that first got us on to the subject. I haven’t actually seen the ad myself, but that was where we started out on our great quest.

  5. Here is a clue: the title is in fact “Ca plane pour moi”.

The correct spelling will certainly help for a google search. However, I don’t know which movie it’s from. I didn’t even know that it was the soundtrack from a movie.

    Tophee

  6. Yeah becuase I was looking up ca ‘pleine’… and got some god awful ‘tropical’ band full of marimbas and whatnotnot. Ugh. More worryingly for Barnaby, I found Ca Plane Pour Moi on Pamela Anderson’s Barb Wire soundtrack… (ick)

  7. Tragically again, I even knew that was the spelling, and still got it wrong. Barnaby *claims* that he’s never seen Barn Wire – you may believe that if you choose. It’s on the soundtrack to the Rachel Griffiths’ film Me, Myself, I too, which he also says he hasn’t seen.

  8. As far as I can remember, it was used in the National Lampoons European vacation, with Chevy Chase. Hope that helps in some small way

  9. It’s in the film Winning London

  10. ca plane pour moi is on the winning london soundtrack- its a mary-kate and ashley olsen movie

  11. it was used in “european vacation”

  12. The movie is “EuroTrip” (2004) – and unbelievably, the song (original version by Plast Betrand) is NOT included on the movie soundtrack – but it is listed in the movie credits.
