Looking For Dad
I've been watching the first part of Channel 4's new series Looking For Dad, which follows a series of people looking for their biological fathers. It's been interesting viewing, not least because when the production company was starting work on it several months ago, I actually spoke to one of their researchers about possibly being one of the series' subjects.
In the event, obviously, I'm not in it, but it might have created an interesting situation in my life right now if I had been. Apart from anything some fairly major questions might have been answered.

I’m trying to get hold of a video recording of the first episode of Looking For Dad. I need it to show my ex girlfriend why she is wrong to prohibit me from seeing our daughter. So much of the behaviour of the mother of the sisters in the programme is exactly what my daughter’s mother is doing. I see what this has done to these young women.
If you have or know anyone who taped the programme, please let me know.

I did not see the first episode either although I was told about it. I caught the second episode and would like to see the first. Good luck with your search for the video. I suspect the company that made the series would sell you a copy but it is worth asking Ch4 to repeat the series. The more people that ask the more likely it is to be shown.
Good luck also with your ex and your child. I am in a similar position. I used to have contact with my child but her mother assaulted her because my child was asking for more contact with me. She asked me to help her to get the abuse stopped. Now, no contact. No help from the court who seem to regard the reporting of abuse by a mother as a heresey.
I am sure it will all work out well in the end but I do not see the solution being in the mother accessing that series of programmes. It would not be whatched, and if it was it would be explained away and ignored. I hope you and your child have better fortune.

i found the program really interrsting i have been trying to find my dad for some time but with no luck.if anyone knows of any way to help it would be muchly appreciated.
