I just realised how well this coming weekend is falling. The clocks are going forward, resulting in an hour less to sleep in, but for once, it's happening over a long weekend, so it's not going to feel quite as grievously unfair.
I don't know why I always have that reaction to the start of BST, but somehow, I feel the loss of that hour very keenly....

I’m sure I get this wrong every year but doesn’t it always fall on the Bank Holiday wknd?
Perhaps I just think it should and say the opposite on the years that it doesn’t.

No – it always falls on the last weekend in March, but that’s not always Easter.
Easter (broadly) is specified as the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs after the vernal equinox.
