Over The Yardarm
Dave and I have a tradition, when having an occasional drink perhaps a little earlier in the day than might usually be the case, of noting that the sun's always over the yardarm somewhere. The point is that usually it's not *that* early.
Right now, however, I'm sitting in an airport departure lounge at 06:30am local time (yes, that's 05:30am back home - wake up you lazy buggers, I've been awake for hours), and I'm surrounded by people drinking beer.
Which seems a mite extreme to me....

Yeah I noticed that once in a departure lounge for the Isle of Man, alongside other Domestic Flights. then I realised a lot of them hadcome back from the Rugby World Cup in South Africa, and frankly, time was probably an irrelevant consideration.
Although I discovered the other week, in looking forward tot he Football World cup, that South Africa is only GMT+2. In June that woul dhave been BST+1
