I’ve long thought that the “gay is a choice” argument was strange and particularly incomplete. Your comparison to choosing to attend church is very good: we like to pretend that we are a society of choice, especially when no harm comes as a result. Your comparison with vegetarianism is also strong: given the unsustainable levels of global population growth, an argument could be made that “choosing” to be gay is more responsible than “choosing” to be straight.

I must say I’m finding myself in a bit of the same mood. The shorter days (already!) are making me a bit sad and unsettled, lol. We (also) had what feels to be a very short summer! I do love the fall though, so I will enjoy it even as I mourn for the lost daylight hours. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so that’s always fun to look forward to!

You are *absolutely* creative. You can’t do what you do and not be, imo. I imagine being surrounded by the people you are would make anyone feel less creative, but you truly are creative in your own right. Look at the podcasting you’ve done (which I miss tremendously & will jump for joy when you find something new to talk about & start podcasting about it!) and honestly, isn’t that what creative people do, come up with creative things in their head that might never get used? And then one day they get to use and and voila, the whole world knows of your creativity! I do sympathze though, while I dont think I’m an idiot by any measure, I am surrounded by *very* smart people and I feel very much less-than quite often, heh. It’s all in the measuring stick we have nearby I guess. But this one person thinks you are incredibly creative, if that means anything!

So sad. Thank you for remembering Ray and a great ‘neighourhood’ restaurant – more than that, a great neighbourhood establishment, because the people/person made it so. chris
